Look East Policy

In July 1981, Prime Minister Dato' Seri Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad became the Prime Minister of Malaysia. After six months in his office, he announced an initiative to learn from the experiences of Japan in the nation-building of Malaysia. He considered that the secret of Japanese success and its remarkable development lies in its labour ethics, morale, and management capability. He felt a programme enabling that young Malaysians to learn in Japan would contribute to the economic and social development of Malaysia.

This is truly a great foresight from the Malaysia PM then. After witnessing 2 different major events of the world, namely "The Tsunami of Fukushima" and "The London Riot" of 2011, it makes me wonder how come the Japanese during their time of need in great disaster they still helps each other and never try to loot or grab more aid then they requires. They always queue in an orderly manner to receive aids. But from the western country with a Great as their first name during the London Riot it is disgusting to see how their youth set fire to property and loots from their fellow neighbour for apparent no real reason to do so. Just couldn't understand...

I think the whole world should have a Look East Morale Policy, starting with the Great Britain if they aspire to be called Great once again..
