Birthday Celebration

I used to celebrate my birthday with friends, relative and loves one year in year out. I likes to celebrates my birthday twice a year, once according to the western calendar, that is today and once during the lunar calendar which falls on the 15th day of the eight month with coincides with the Chinese mid autumn festival with many moon cakes. I never really fully understand the significance our my birth until recently.

I now realised that in order to give birth to me, my mother has to carry me in her womb for nine months. This pregnancy period poses various degrees of health risk. After that she will have to endures the pains of labour to bring me to this world.Some people says that labour pains are the worse kind of pain.

Birthday should be celebrated as a tribute to mothers because despite the pain involved, the thought of giving life far exceeds the pains incurred during the labour of childbirth. Birthday is a day to remember your moms for bringing you to this world. Thank you MOM for giving me life. Happy birthday to my mom for sharing the same birthday as me....

So always remember the sacrifice of your mother for you during your birthday and don't forget to thanks her for all she has done... 

Hari Malaysia Patriotic Fashion

This year in conjunction with the Malaysia Day(Hari Malaysia) celebration, we organised a Malaysia Day Patriotic Fashion Competition for Children under 13 years to instill the spirit of patriotism and unity in the younger generation. What surprised me is despite 16 September had been declared a national public holiday, most of the audience during the event asked me these questions "What is Malaysia Day? and "Why do we celebrates Malaysia Day??. It downs to me that most Malaysian are ignorance about what are happening to the world around them. I thinks the government and NGO should do more to educates the general public, especially the younger ones. They are supposed to be our future leaders. Don't believe me? Asks yourself or Malaysian next to you this questions "What is Malaysia Day? and "Why do we celebrates Malaysia Day?

Malaysia Day is held on September 16 every year to commemorate the establishment of the Malaysian federation on the same date in 1963. It marked the joining together of Malaya, North Borneo, Sarawak, and Singapore to form Malaysia. The formation of the new federation was planned to occur on June 1, 1963, but was later postponed to August 31, 1963, in order to coincide with the sixth Hari Merdeka. Several issues related to the Indonesianand the Filipino objection to the formation of Malaysia delayed the declaration to September 16 of the same year. The postponement was also done to allow the United Nations team time to conduct referendums in North Borneo (now Sabah) and Sarawak regarding the two states participation in a new federation.

The formation of Malaysia was made possible through the introduction of the Malaysia Bill to the Malayan Parliament on July 9, 1963, and consent from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on August 29, 1963.

Prior to the formation of Malaysia, Singapore and North Borneo unilaterally declared independence from the United Kingdom on August 31, 1963, thus coinciding with the sixth anniversary of the Malayan independence.

Beginning year 2010, September 16 is a federal public holiday.

According to the Prime Minister of Malaysia Datuk Seri Najib Razak "Independence Day(HARI Merdeka) on 31 August , reminds us of the struggle for independence from colonialism, which will be celebrated with official events such as parades and historical moment to remember.

"Malaysia Day on 16 September, will be celebrated with events are to strengthen unity, mutual understanding between the races, the success and achievements of the community through sports, socio-cultural, art and others that will inspire 1Malaysia,"

VERSUS QUEEN search is the brainchild of the team in CHANNEL EVENT & PROMOTIONS. Well we are doing this for VERSUS mobile phone which are introducing affordable wi-fi enabled phone.So we feels that Facebook as the no 1 networking platform is a good bet, and we are right. We have the resources to do the publicity with other platforms, but that doesn't suit our concept.Further more FB has an international fans, who knows someone, somewhere might discover the talents on our show and make them superstar. VQ is not about commercial only. as a responsible citizen we hope to give back an equal chance to all aspiring talents to showcase themselves.We hv student as young as 13 competing with 30+ housewives and even international student.I think next year we are ready to do a nationwide search.

Remembering The King Of Pop.

Its one year on since the passing of the one and only true King of Pop, Michael Joe Jackson. Its still hard to believe that this remarkable person just left us just like that, weeks before his new incarnation to this world. We will never really knows what we might have missed from him, what are his latest magic. Oh how the world will miss this great opportunity to witness something special. We only got a slight glimpse of what would have been from THIS IS IT footages.

Whether you like him or not, most people will have special moment in life with his music. He created so many
innovative ideas to the music industries. He inspire so many to be like him, to achieve the impossible. With his songs and influences, he helps so many under-privileges and starving people throughout the world. Reminds us to helps heal the world for our future generation. I can keeps on writing and writing for ages to to list his contributions...

The world will definitely miss you.Thank you Michael for being born to this world. Thank you for trying so hard to entertains the world and create so many unforgettable moments for us. Thank you for all your charities that you have done and inspired other to follows. Thank you for inspiring so many artistes to be like you. Thank you for your magic.

Cable Radio anyone??
Do you believe there was once a time not too long ago we used to have radio service by cable that you have to pays a monthly fee like how we have satellite TV now....Yes it is a fact, I had a tough time trying to convince some of my younger friends that we used to have cable radio calls REDIFFUSION. Rediffusion operates two stations,one in chinese and the other in english language starting from 6am thru 12am.


The set up is something like the telephone services, you pays and initial RM36 then the technician will set up a cabled wooden speaker box about the size of 12" X 12" with a switch like our fan switch. When you turns left it is the Chinese programme, when you turns the knob right it is the English programme, the volume is also controlled by this switch, I thinks the monthly fees is about RM6, but I not not too sure...

Every mornings it serves as our alarm clock, broadcasting the national anthem loudly at exactly 6am every day without miss. So we never overslept, never late for school. So much information & entertainments coming from from this little wooden box, made in the United Kingdom (I thinks)

Back to the present, my friends says who would pays for radio services when you have so many free to air station. Why do people now pays for satellite TV? I asked. Well........ times are different and our needs are different.

I still remember Lee Tai Soh(not too sure how to spell his name), the one man story teller who can makes people sit next to the speaker for 30 minutes everyday listening to him telling stories. The way he narrate a ghost story will scare the sh.t out off my sister every times. He is like the Orson Welles of Malaysia. I always wonder what he looks like or what happens to him. How I miss listening to all his stories, be it mystery, ghost or even journey to the west. I couldn't find anything on this remarkable man on the web. Can anyone enlightens me??Another great personality from Rediffusion is none other than the Voice of Malaysia Mr. Patrick Teoh.

Well you might asks me what happens to Rediffusion?? They changed to RediFM and later to 9.88fm, yes they evolved to the most popular Chinese radio station in Malaysia..Do the DJ now knows or even heard of this Mr Lee Tai Soh....

Writing this brings me back to my wonderful childhood memories, life was so simple back then. to those young reader of this post, treasure your youth don't waste your precious times, try to enjoy a simple life....it will be gone before you can grasps it. let live with no regrets......

Since the demise of the "King Of Pop", Michael Jackon on June 25, 2009,the reign for the ruler of the pop kingdom is in void. After going thru the would be successors. I could only find one person that is worthy to be the new ruler of the Pop Kingdom. that person is none other than Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta or better known as Lady Gaga born 28 March 1986





I am not a die hard fan of her, I just started to notice her last year with poker face. If you look at her past credentials you will know that she will become much, much better in the future. She is not into this industry because of her look, reality show and etc...


She did it the old style, by her passion and love of the music. She climbed the ladder step by step.
She is successful not by accident. she is successful because she is truly gifted and she dare to be what she wanted to be. In my opinion she changed the way people look at the music industry. she, like the king of Pop fused the music, dance, fashion & opera into a single entity.it is more like an art form.so much joy to listen, to watch and even to discuss about. You never seems to get enough of her performances.


Everything she touches or do seem to turn into magic. My only hope for her the follow the footstep of the King of Pop to be more philanthropist towards her subject. With the great powers bestow to her, she can helps change the life of millions of under privileged people.you can understand her more on the wikipedia

Just discover something new, its call ruumz. Haven't have much time to indulge in it yet. maybe its a beginning of something special.........just need more time for ruumzing. time seems to travels faster and faster everyday very hard to balance the time,  too many new things to discover.Curiosity kills the cat they says, maybe that is why. but if I don't check it out I'll never knows. like I always says Everything Happens 4 a Good reason.....
