Fabulous 80's Fashion - fashionista search 2 preview
The 80's was really a revolution of sort for the fashion world, in this decade there are so many conflicting fashion direction from around the world. For me this decade definitely belongs to Europe especially the United Kingdom, Due to the influence of the music industries.we have the New Wave, New Romantics, Punk, Rock and so on.The rise of Music Video(MV) also influenced the fashions.
In the 80's we have big permed, spiky, curly hair, shoulder pad,Ray Ban wayfarer, Sweaters were big, baggy and bat-winged , tight legging, colorful combination.
Madonna and Cyndi Lauper are the fashion icon of this decade.
Fast forward to year 2012, we get to witness how the fashionista search 2 contestants some whom are not even born in 80's depicts their version of the fabulous fashion of the 80's during their preview show. I think this experience have helped them to have a better understanding of the fashion cycle. Here are some of the photo of their version os 80's fashion

1983 TOTP No.1s
To me songs from Top of the Pops from 1983 seems to be the best of the 80's single in Britain, back then only few American singers can break into the British TOTP chart.
Here are the No.1s songs. First No. 1 is by Phil Collins - You Can't Hurry Love, it stays 2 weeks at the top. Phil Collins is the former drummer for the group Genesis and regarded as the best percussionist of his era
